– Hancock plays at Houghton in the annual Copper Bowl. Pregame coverage begins around 6:40 on KBear 102.3 and KBear102.com. Houghton will stage a Copper Bowl parade beginning at 6:00 at the Hurontown Fire Station. Boosters will hold a tailgate in the school parking lot before the game.
– WestPAC champion Calumet tunes up for the playoffs at Gladstone.
– L’Anse entertains West Iron County.
– Baraga welcomes Superior Central.
– Ontonagon hosts Carney-Nadeau.
– Ewen-Trout Creek travels to Rapid River.

Tomorrow…
– Lake Linden-Hubbell will try to close out its second-straight undefeated regular season with a win at home against Munising. A victory would give the Lakes sole possession of first place in the Mid-Eastern Conference. Pregame coverage starts around 1:40 on KBear 102.3 and KBear102.com.

In cross country, the UP Finals will be run tomorrow at Gladstone. The Chassell girls and boys teams will both be going for their third straight Division Three titles.

In the championship game of the 7th Grade Division One Girls’ Basketball Championship last night, Calumet defeated L’Anse 52-34. Calumet’s Jana Loukus lead all scorers with 32 points. Summer Dudo had 14 for L’Anse.

The Michigan Tech hockey team skates at the University of Michigan tonight and tomorrow night.

The Huskies soccer team hosts Ashland tonight at 5:00, and Tiffin Sunday at noon.

The MTU football team tries to get back on the winning track at Northwood tomorrow afternoon.

The cross country team runs at the GLIAC championship at Big Rapids tomorrow.

The Northern Michigan University hockey team skates at Ferris State tonight and tomorrow night.

The Wildcats football team welcomes Ohio Dominican tomorrow afternoon.

Finlandia
The Finlandia University men’s soccer team plays at Grace Bible College this afternoon, Tomorrow’s game at Great Lakes Christian has been canceled. Finlandia Lions New LogoThe women’s soccer game scheduled for tomorrow against Grace Bible College has also been canceled.

The Finlandia volleyball team plays at Lake Superior State tomorrow afternoon.

The Lions football team will host Maranatha Baptist University tomorrow. Kickoff is at 1:00 at McAfee Field.

The Finlandia men’s hockey team will tune up for its season with an intrasquad scrimmage tomorrow night at 8:15 at the Houghton County Arena. The public is invited, at no charge.

The Detroit Red Wings host the Nashville Predators tonight. Faceoff is at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

MLB
The Chicago Cubs defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-4 last night. The Cubs lead the National League Championship Series three games to two, and could advance to face the Cleveland Indians in the World Series with a victory tomorrow.

Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdown passes, as the Green Bay Packers defeated the Chicago Bears 26-10 last night. Bears’ quarterback Brian Hoyer left the game in the second quarter with a broken arm. With starter Jay Cutler already on the bench with a thumb injury, third-stringer Matt Barkley finished the game.

Before the game, the Packers announced that running back Eddie Lacy will be placed on injured reserve. He’ll need surgery to repair his ankle injury, and will miss most, if not all, of the rest of the season.
