In baseball…
• Calumet hosts Ontonagon in a regular-season match-up.
• Lake Linden-Hubbell meets Jeffers in a Division Four district tournament play-in game at the Dollar Bay field.

In softball…
• Calumet entertains Rapid River in a regular season match-up.
• The Division Four district tournament opens with two playoff games. Baraga faces Lake Linden-Hubbell at 4:00. Hancock will play L’Anse in the second game. Coverage from the Bone Yard will begin at 3:40 on KBear 102.3 and KBear102.com.

NBA

In NBA tournament opening-round play yesterday…
• The Wizards upended the 76ers 122-114. Philadelphia leads that series 3-1.
• The Jazz got past the Grizzlies 120-113. Utah leads that set 3-1.

Tonight…
• The Nets host the Celtics. Brooklyn leads that series 3-1.
• The Nuggets welcome the Trail Blazers. That set is tied 2-2.
• The Suns entertain the Lakers. That series is tied 2-2.

NHL

In the NHL…
• The Canadiens dispatched the Maple Leafs 3-1. Montreal wins that opening-round series 4-3.
• The Islanders edged the Bruins 4-3. That second-round series is tied 1-1.

Tonight…
• The Hurricanes host the Lightning. Tampa Bay leads that second-round set 1-0.

MLB

Luis Urías’ single off José Cisnero in the bottom of the 10th inning drove home Omar Narváez with the winning run, as the Milwaukee Brewers shaded the Detroit Tigers 3-2 yesterday. Milwaukee starter Corbin Burnes gave up a run on six hits over six innings. With José Ureña on the disabled list, the Tigers used seven relievers. Daniel Norris gave up a two-run homer to Willy Adames. Akil Badoo homered for Detroit.

Those teams wrap up that quick series tonight in Milwaukee. Matthew Boyd will start against Eric Lauer. Coverage begins at 7:20 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Brewers have activated utility player Tim Lopes and pitcher Bobby Wahl from the 60-day injured list, and assigned both to Nashville.

In Copper Country Horseshoe League play this evening…

Golf

The Michigan Tech women’s basketball team will host its annual golf tournament Saturday at the Portage Lake Course. Registration begins at 9:00, with a 10:00 shotgun start.
