HS Volleyball Tourney Opens Tonight – Monday Sports Wrap

High School

The high school volleyball tournament opens tonight.
• In Division Four, District 98, L’Anse plays at Dollar Bay-Tamarack City, and Chassell plays at Lake Linden-Hubbell.
• In Division Four District 97 at Ontonagon, Ewen Trout Creek faces Bessemer.
• In Division Three, Hancock plays at West Iron County. Calumet has an opening-round bye, and will host Westwood Wednesday on the Voice of the Copper Kings, KBear 102.3.
• In Division Two, Gladstone faces Escanaba. Houghton will meet the winner on Wednesday on the Voice of the Gremlins, 97.7 The Wolf.

Lake Linden-Hubbell’s football regional final against North Central will be played Friday night at 7:00 Eastern Time in Powers.

NHL

The Red Wings visit the Sabres tonight. Because of NFL football on 99.3 The Lift, Wings coverage will begin at 6:45 on KBear 102.3.

NBA

The Pistons broke their five-game losing streak with a 128-114 victory over the Warriors yesterday. Four Pistons scored at least 23 points, led by Saddiq Bey with 28.

The Pistons visit the Bucks this evening.

Bojan Bogdanovic has signed a two-year contract extension with the Pistons. He’s been their leading scorer so far this season.

MLB

The World Series resumes tonight in Philadelphia. The Phillies and Astros are tied at one win per team.

NFL

Yesterday…
• The Lions offense was dominant in the first half, and silent in the second half in a 31-27 loss to the Dolphins.
• The Packers fell behind early, and lost to the Bills 27-17. It was their fourth straight defeat.

In tonight’s contest, the Bengals visit the Browns. Kickoff is at 8:15 on 99.3 The Lift.
