In boys basketball last night…
• Calumet lost to Iron Mountain 59-32. Blake Tarvis led the Copper Kings with nine points.
• Baraga fell to Ewen-Trout Creek 54-37.

In girls play…
• Baraga outscored Ewen-Trout Creek 50-38. Corina Jahfetson passed the 1,000 career points mark for the Vikings.

In high school basketball tonight…
• Both Houghton teams play at Hancock for the annual Wing Ding games. The boys contest will tip off at 5:45, with the girls to follow. Doubleheader coverage will begin at 5:25 on the Voice of the Gremlins, 97.7 The Wolf.

Hancock Central High School will host its fourth annual Special Olympics Unified Basketball game today at 1:00 in the high school gymnasium. The match pairs general education athletes with Special Olympics athletes in a fun, competitive game. Parents, friends, and community members are invited to attend.

The Michigan Tech football team has added a new coach. J.T. Jurasin will join the staff as linebackers coach. He comes to the Huskies from Northern Michigan University, where he served as special teams coordinator last season, and also coached cornerbacks and coordinated travel.

NHL

The Wings host the Flames tonight. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

NBA

The Pistons lost to the Cavaliers 113-85 last night. Bojan Bogdanovic led Detroit with 15 points.

The Pistons entertain the Spurs tomorrow. We’ll join the game after Finlandia University men’s hockey on 99.3 The Lift.
