Walt Kyle

Shortly after former Northern Michigan University hockey coach Walt Kyle was fired yesterday, he was arrested by Marquette County sheriff’s deputies. A spokesman for the sheriff’s department says Kyle has been charged with one count of residential mortgage fraud of $100,000 or less, and one count of forgery of documents affecting real property. Kyle’s attorney, George Hyde, released a statement maintaining Kyle’s innocence, and blaming the situation on his recent divorce. You can read full details, including Hyde’s complete statement, in the story compiled by our sister television stations ABC 10 and CW 5 here.

The Finlandia University baseball team plays at an indoor tournament in Milwaukee this weekend. The Lions will face Northland College this  morning… the Milwaukee School of Engineering this afternoon and again tomorrow morning… and Martin Luther College tomorrow afternoon.
