• REL-Mohawk Technology v Northern Driveline – no report.

NBA

The Warriors won the NBA title last night, defeating the Celtics 103-90 to take the championship series 4-2. Stephen Curry was named the series’ Most Valuable Player.

NHL

The Stanley Cup championship series continues tomorrow, as the Avalanche hosts the Lightning. Colorado leads the series 1-0.

MLB

The Tigers dropped their fifth straight game last night, 3-1 to the Rangers. Texas scored all their runs on Ezequiel Duran’s bases-loaded triple of Gregory Soto in the top of the ninth. That spoiled an excellent start by Beau Brieske, who turned in seven innings, gave up just three hits, and struck out six.

The Tigers host the Rangers again tonight. Tarik Skubal will pitch against Jon Gray. Coverage will begin at 6:50 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Brewers fell 5-4 to the Mets last night. Aaron Ashby gave up four runs before leaving the game in the fifth inning with tightness in his left forearm. The Mets scored the game-winner off Brent Suter in the bottom of the eighth. Milwaukee had a chance to tie the game in the top of the ninth, but Hunter Renfroe was thrown out at home plate after a double by Tyrone Taylor.

Initial tests on Ashby’s arm after the game revealed no serious injury, and manager Craig Counsell was hopeful that he would not miss much, if any, time.

The Brewers visit the Reds tonight. Eric Lauer will start against Hunter Greene.

Running

The Thatcher Markham Memorial 5k Run and Walk will take place tonight, as the leadoff to the Bridgefest Parade. Packet pick-up and late registration will be held before between 4:00 and 6:00 at the former Keweenaw Buick-GMC dealership on Quincy Street in Hancock.
