Jared Goff’s 11-yard touchdown pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown on the final play of the game lifted the Detroit Lions to their first victory of the season, 29-27 over the Minnesota Vikings yesterday. The ending had been shaping up as another late loss for Detroit, which saw an eight-point lead at the end of the third quarter evaporate when Minnesota scored two late touchdowns. Goff squeezed 14 plays into a 75-yard drive over the game’s final 110 seconds – without a time out – to pull out the win.

In last night’s game, the Kansas City Chiefs dumped the Denver Broncos 22-9.

The Green Bay Packers had the weekend off.
