Lions Play for Playoff Berth Tonight – Monday Sports Wrap

NBA
The Detroit Pistons will host the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight.

NHL
The Detroit Red Wings return to action tomorrow, when they entertain the Buffalo Sabres. Faceoff is at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

NFL
In Sunday’s NFL games, the Pittsburgh Steelers got past the Baltimore Ravens 31-27. The Kansas City Chiefs shut down the Denver Broncos 33-10. The loss eliminated the defending Super Bowl champions from the playoffs.

The Detroit Lions visit the Dallas Cowboys tonight. Detroit holds a half-game lead over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North Division race. A victory by the Lions tonight would guarantee them at least a wild card playoff berth. Hear the broadcast on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

Center Travis Swanson will miss the game because of a concussion. Running back Theo Riddick and cornerback Darious Slay are listed as doubtful. See the full injury report here.

Next Sunday’s game between the Lions and the Packers has been moved from the afternoon into the evening slot. The winner will claim the NFC North title.
