Detroit leads Kansas City in the American League Central Division by five games.
Brewers Shaded by Rays
The Brewers collected only three hits, and fell to the Rays 2-1. Milwaukee’s only run came on a third-inning homer by Mark Reynolds. Kyle Lohse pitched five shutout innings… but faltered in the sixth, giving up a two-run, bases-loaded single to James Loney.
The Brewers continue that series at Tampa Bay tonight. Matt Garza will start against Alex Cobb.
Saint Louis was idle yesterday, and Pittsburgh won… so Milwaukee’s lead in the National League Central Division is now a game-and-a-half over the Cardinals… and two games over the Pirates.
