Yesterday’s Finlandia baseball doubleheader at the Illinois Institute of Technology was postponed because of bad weather.

The Tigers have signed outfielder J-D Martinez to a minor-league contract… just two days after he was released by the Astros. Martinez is expected to open the season at Toledo.

Anibal Sanchez threw 71 pitches in a minor-league game yesterday morning, and reported no soreness in his shoulder.
