The list includes eight players from the Upper Peninsula, starting with Houghton standout Ben Collaer, who will play linebacker. The others are receiver Brad Causley from Cedarville… running back Lee Graff from Forest Park… defensive linemen Nate LaJoie from Sault Ste. Marie, and Max Maloney from West Iron County… linebackers Chad Leisenring from Escanaba and Jason Lindbeck from Munising, and defensive back Brandon Oja from St. Ignace. NHL – Red Wings Visit Avalanche
Red Wings LogoThe Red Wings return to action tonight at Colorado. Faceoff is at 9:00 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.

Goalie Jonas Gustavsson has been activated, and will be with Detroit tonight. Gustavsson has been out since separating a shoulder in early November. In his second conditioning start with Grand Rapids last night, he stopped 30 shots in a 3-1 Griffins victory. Tom McCollom has been sent down to Grand Rapids.

NBA – Pistons Fall to Pacers
The Pistons lost to the Pacers 114-109 last night. Indiana broke the game open with a 17-2 run in the third quarter. Andre Drummond led Detroit with 18 points and 16 rebounds, The Pistons host the Nuggets tomorrow night. Tip-off is at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope left last night’s game in the first quarter when his Achilles tendon tightened up. Caldwell-Pope injured the tendon in Tuesday night’s victory over the Heat. He’s hoping to be ready for tomorrow night’s game.

MLB – Brewers Sign Perez
The Brewers have signed former Cleveland closer Chris Perez to a minor-league contract. Perez made the All-Star team in 2011 and 2012, but struggled in 2013, and was released. He played for the Dodgers last season.

NFL – Packers’ DT Arrested
Green Bal Packers LogoPackers defensive tackle Letroy Guion was arrested for felony possession of marijuana and felony possession of a firearm in his hometown of Starke, Florida, Tuesday night. Police say they seized 357 grams of marijuana, a 9mm semi-automatic handgun, and $190,000 in cash from Guion’s truck. The arrest report describes Guion as “extremely uncooperative and hostile” while the truck was being searched. He’s been released on $100,000 bond.
