MLB – Tigers Rained Out Again
Detroit Tigers Circle LogoFor the second straight day, the Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Indians were rained out Saturday. Friday’s game will be made up today, as part of a traditional doubleheader. Justin Verlander will start against Trevor Bauer in the first game. Hear the first pitch at 1:10 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY. The second game will follow. Randy Wolf will pitch against Carlos Carrasco.

As for making up Saturday’s game, the Tigers and Indians have no common off-days remaining on their schedules. The most likely scenario would have the teams play on October 5th – the day after the regular season ends. However, if the game would have no playoff implications, it might just be dropped.

Medical tests have confirmed that Milwaukee catcher Jonathan Lucroy suffered a concussion when he was hit in the face by a foul tip Tuesday night. It’s not known how long he’ll be sidelined.
