– Hancock rolled over Lake Linden-Hubbell 57-22. Maija Sebbas had 22 points for the Bulldogs.
– Jeffers smothered Republic-Michigamme 60-12.
– Chassell shut down Watersmeet 58-36.
– L’Anse outscored Baraga 51-31. Alexis Francois led a balanced Purple Hornets attack with 14 points.
– Ontonagon downed Wakefield-Marenisco 60-33.
– The Ewen-Trout Creek game at Bessemer was postponed. No Make-up date has been provided.

In tonight’s only girls game, Houghton entertains Kingsford.

In last night’s only boys’ game, Dollar Bay-Tamarack City cruised past Watersmeet 65-50.

On the boys schedule tonight…

– Houghton entertains Hartland tonight.
– Hancock welcomes Hartland tomorrow afternoon.
– Calumet hosts Kingsford tomorrow afternoon.
– The Wisigan Cup tournament will be played at the SDC. Tonight, L’Anse faces Ashland at 6:00, and Jeffers takes on Hayward at 8:00. Tomorrow, L’Anse meets Hayward at 1:00, and Jeffers plays Ashland at 3:00.

MTU Huskies LogoBoth Michigan Tech basketball teams earned wins over Northwood last night. The women’s squad raced to a 90-69 victory. Danielle Blake scored 20. The men’s team overcame a nine point halftime deficit, and edged the Timberwolves 61-60. Kyle Monroe scored a career-best 32 points. With his team trailing by three with six seconds remaining, Northwood’s Maurice Jones was awarded three free throws. He made the first two, but missed the third. Both Tech teams play at Lake Superior State tomorrow afternoon.

The Michigan Tech hockey team skates at Bowling Green University tonight and tomorrow night.

The Northern Michigan University women’s basketball team got past Lake Superior State 51-44 last night. The men’s team fall to the Lakers 65-56. Both NMU squads visit Northwood tomorrow.

The NMU hockey team entertains Minnesota-Duluth tonight and tomorrow night.

Both Finlandia University basketball teams play at St. Scholastica tonight, and Wisconsin-Superior tomorrow.

The Finlandia men’s hockey team skates at Northland College tonight and tomorrow night. The women’s team hosts Concordia University tomorrow night at 7:15, and Sunday afternoon at 2:15 at the Houghton County Arena.

GLHL
The Calumet Wolverines entertain the Fond du Lac Bears tonight, and the Depere Deacons tomorrow night. Both games begin at 7:30 at the Calumet Colosseum.

The Portage Lake Pioneers host Fond du Lac tomorrow night at 7:30, and DePere Sunday afternoon at 12:30 at Dee Stadium.

NBA
The Detroit Pistons host the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight. Tip-off is at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

Detroit center Andre Drummond has been named to the NBA All Star team as a reserve. He’s the first Piston to make the team since Allen Iverson seven years ago.

NFL
The NFL Pro Bowl will be played Sunday evening at 7:00. Hear the broadcast on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.
