Western Collegiate Hockey Association

Four hundred free tickets will be handed out today to Saturday’s Michigan Tech hockey game against fourth-ranked Clarkson. The Jam the Stands game will feature a chance to win a vehicle from Keweenaw Chevrolet, an appearance by Santa Claus, and a concert after the game by the country band Outlaw’d. Free tickets can be claimed beginning at noon today at Keweenaw Chevrolet, with a limit of two per customer.

Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference

The Michigan Tech men’s basketball team cruised past Finlandia University 119-72 last night. Dylan Underwood of the Lions led all scorers with 29 points. Owen White scored a career-best 26 for the Huskies.

The Detroit Red Wings will host the Winnipeg Jets tonight. Because of NFL football, coverage will begin at 7:10 on KBear 102.3.

Yesterday, the Wings sent forward Filip Zadina and defensemen Dennis Cholowski and Dylan McIlrath down to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

The Detroit Pistons will face the Dallas Mavericks in Mexico City tonight.

NFL

In tonight’s NFL contest, the New York Jets visit the Baltimore Ravens. Hear the broadcast on 99.3 The Lift.
