Tigers Set Playoff Rotation
Max Scherzer will start the first game of the Tigers’ playoff series against the Orioles tomorrow. Chris Tillman will counter for Baltimore. Hear the first pitch at 5:37 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.

Manager Brad Ausmus says Justin Verlander will start game two. David Price will start the third game, and Rick Porcello will pitch in game four, if it’s needed.

The Tigers have until 10:00 this morning to set their ALDS roster, and they may wait until the deadline to do so. Outfielder Rajai Davis has been undergoing treatment on the strained ligament he suffered in Saturday’s game. How he feels this morning will determine what the roster will look like.

The Royals will face the Angels in the other American League Divisional Series. In last night’s wild card play-in game, Kansas City trailed by four after six innings… but scored three in the eighth to make it close… and then tied the game on Nori Aoki’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth. After Los Angeles took a one-run lead in the top of the 13th, Salvador Perez drove home Jonny Gomes and Christian Colon with a single in the bottom of the inning, giving the Royals a 9-8 victory.

Brewers General Manager Doug Melvin says he’ll wait at least a week before deciding the fate of manager Ron Roenicke and the coaching staff. The Brewers got off to a fast start, and led the National League Central Division for much of the season. A late collapse left them out of the playoffs.

Red Wings LogoRed Wings Host Pens
The Detroit Red Wings will host the Penguins in an exhibition game tonight. Darren Helm may be back in the lineup. He’s been out since he broke his nose in the first preseason game. Gustav Nyquist will not play, after hurting his knee in a collision in Saturday’s game. The injury is not considered serious, though, and he’s listed as day-to-day. We will cover the Red Wings again this season on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.
