A day after the Detroit Tigers routed the Kansas City Royals 13-2, KC turned the tables and defeated Detroit 13-2 last night. Matt Boyd allowed just two runs over the first six innings. He left after giving another run on consecutive doubles to open the seventh. The Royals completed a four-run inning against Warwick Saupold and Jairo Labourt, then plated seven in the eighth off Joe Jimenez and Zac Reininger.

The Tigers have today off, and open a series at Toronto tomorrow night. Pregame coverage begins at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Milwaukee Brewers dropped their third straight game, 7-1 to the Cincinnati Reds yesterday afternoon. Milwaukee starter Matt Garza was chased from the game in the third inning, as the Reds scored five times.

The Brewers also have today off, and begin a series against the division-leading Cubs in Chicago tomorrow evening.

The loss dropped Milwaukee into third place in the National League Central Division, four-and-a-half games behind the Cubs, and a half-game behind the Saint Louis Cardinals.

Our high school football coverage continues Friday night, as Hancock entertains Northland Pines. The pregame show will begin around 6:40 on KBear 102.3 and KBear102.com.
