NHL Extends COVID Pause – Saturday Sports Wrap

NHL

The NHL’s COVID-19 pause has gotten longer. The league is delaying the resumption of games until Tuesday, to allow teams time to process the latest round of tests. That wipes out the Red Wings’ game against the New York Rangers that was scheduled for Monday.

NBA

The Detroit Pistons visit the San Antonio Spurs tomorrow.

NFL

Today…
• The Green Bay Packers host the Cleveland Browns in a 4:30 game.
• The Indianapolis Colts visit the Arizona Cardinals in an 8:15 contest.
Hear both games on 99.3 The Lift.

Tomorrow…
• The Detroit Lions visit the Atlanta Falcons for a 1:00 game.
• The Washington Football Team plays at Dallas in the evening contest.
Hear both broadcasts on 99.3 The Lift.

Lions quarterback Jared Goff reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 again yesterday morning, making it increasingly doubtful that he can clear protocol in time for tomorrow’s contest. Running back D’Andre Swift could return from his shoulder injury – he’s among eight players listed as questionable.
