The Detroit Red Wings fell to the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 in a shootout last night. Petr Mrazek made 30 saves in the losing effort. The Wings will host the St. Louis Blues Wednesday night. Faceoff is at 8:00 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

NBA
The Detroit Pistons host the Chicago Bulls in a Martin Luther King Day matinee this afternoon. Tip-off is at 3:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

NFL
The NFL Conference Championship games are set for next Sunday. The Patriots will face the Broncos for the AFC title. New England advanced with a 27-20 win over Kansas City on Saturday. Yesterday, Denver converted a Fritz Toussaint fumble into a late touchdown, and eliminated the Steelers 23-16.

NFL Football LogoThe Cardinals and Panthers will play for the NFC crown. Arizona eliminated the Packers in a 26-20 overtime game Saturday night. Yesterday, Carolina scored 31 points in the first half, then held on to oust the Seahawks 31-24.
