The Detroit Pistons overcame a sluggish start, and defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 110-97 last night. The Pistons scored only 12 points in the first quarter, but clawed their way back, and outscored the Sixers 36-18 in the final period to take the win. Reggie Jackson led Detroit with 27 points, and Andre Drummond scored 25 and grabbed 18 rebounds. The Pistons host the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow night. Tip-off is at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy will miss Sunday’s Pro Bowl game. McCarthy was supposed to be the head coach for the NFC squad, but is suffering from a stomach illness. Doctors have advised him not to travel to the game in Hawaii. You can hear the Pro Bowl Sunday on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

The Detroit Tigers have traded infielder Jefry Marté to the Los Angeles Angels. The Tigers had placed Marté on assignment last week to make room on the roster for Justin Upton. They had 10 days to trade him, or place him on waivers. In exchange, they get infield prospect Kody Eaves, who played at the Single A level in the minor leagues last year.
