The Detroit Pistons lost to the Milwaukee Bucks 125-115 last night. Detroit began the game without starters Blake Griffin and Josh Jackson. They lost point guard Killian Hayes to a hip injury early in the second half. Jerami Grant again led Detroit with 24 points.

After the game, coach Dwayne Casey said that Hayes will undergo an MRI today. He also said he hopes to have Jackson and Griffin back when the Pistons play at Milwaukee again tomorrow night. Coverage begins at 7:35 on 99.3 The Lift.

Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Daz Cameron has ended his term in the Puerto Rican Winter League early because of arm soreness. Team officials say he’ll be evaluated, and will start preparing for spring training.

Detroit’s Isaac Paredes won the batting title in the Mexican Pacific League, which concluded its season last weekend.

The Detroit Red Wings will hold the first of three training camp intrasquad scrimmages this morning. The exhibitions take on extra importance this season because there will be no preseason games against other NHL teams before the regular season starts a week from Thursday.

Hear Red Wings games again this season on 99.3 The Lift.

The American Hockey League will proceed with its season this year, although three teams have opted out. The AHL includes the NHL’s top minor league clubs. Detroit’s affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins, will be playing. The Charlotte Checkers, Milwaukee Admirals and Springfield Thunderbirds will not play this season. Their NHL affiliates – the Florida Panthers, the Nashville Predators and the St. Louis Blues – will assign their prospects to other teams.
