• Lake Linden-Hubbell entertains Ironwood.

College Soccer

The Tech soccer team begins play in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament this afternoon. The fifth-seeded Huskies will face fourth-seed Grand Valley State in Allendale.

College Baseball

The Finlandia University baseball team has added a new recruit. Adrian Zamora is a pitcher from Paco Rivera, California.

NHL

The Detroit Red Wings visit the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight.

NBA

The Detroit Pistons shut down the Atlanta Hawks 100-86 last night. Six Pistons reached double figures in scoring, led by Jerami Grant and Frank Jackson with 18 each. Isaiah Stewart grabbed 11 rebounds.

The Pistons host the Dallas Mavericks Thursday.

MLB

The Detroit Tigers’ struggles continued yesterday with a 3-2 loss to the Kansas City Royals. Spencer Turnbull turned in a quality start, giving up three runs over six innings, but took the loss.

The Tigers have lost 10 of their last 11 games, and begin a series against the White Sox in Chicago tonight. José Ureña will pitch against Lucas Giolito. Coverage will begin at 7:50 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Milwaukee Brewers lost 8-0 to the Miami Marlins last night. Corbin Burnes allowed one run over the first five innings, then gave up four more before leaving in the sixth.

The Brewers entertain the Miami Marlins again tonight. Adrian Houser will start against Daniel Castano.
