Seahawks Down Eagles – Tuesday Sports Wrap

NFL

In last night’s NFL game, the Seahawks got past the Eagles 23-17.

The twice-delayed game between the Raven and Steelers has been postponed again. The contest was supposed to have been played last Thursday. Because of COVID-19 positives among the Baltimore players and staff, it was postponed to Sunday, and then to tonight. Now, it has been rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Pregame coverage will begin at 3:15 on 99.3 The Lift.

Because of that, the Ravens-Cowboys game that was scheduled for Thursday night will be played next Tuesday.

We will hold off on scoring Week 12 of The Wolf Pro Football Challenge until after tomorrow’s game. Because there will be no Thursday game this week, Kevin and Jeff will announce their Week 13 picks on Thursday, and your picks can be submitted until Friday at noon at our sponsors.

The Packers have claimed defensive lineman Anthony Rush off of waivers from the Bears. Rush played in nine games for the Eagles last year, after they signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama-Birmingham. He appeared in four games for the Seahawks earlier this season, before he was released and picked up briefly by Chicago.

WCHA

There has been a change in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association schedule this week. The Alabama-Huntsville game at Ferris State that was scheduled for this Thursday has been pushed back to next Tuesday. Alabama-Huntsville’s games at Lake Superior State, which were scheduled for Sunday and Monday, have been moved up to Saturday and Sunday. Neither the league nor the schools offered an explanation for the change.

Northern Michigan University’s game against LSSU scheduled for tomorrow night had already been canceled because of recent positive COVID-19 tests at NMU.

Michigan Tech’s home games this Friday and Saturday against Minnesota State are still scheduled to be played.

NBA

NBA training camps open today. Activities will be limited to team meetings and individual workouts for the first few days. Full practices will start this weekend. The season will begin December 22nd.

NHL

A group of Red Wings skated at Little Caesars Arena yesterday – the first hockey that’s been played there since the NHL season was suspended late last winter. It was an unofficial workout. The league still hopes to begin this season January 1st, but no agreement has been reached between team owners and players.
