The Team Copper Country U18 hockey squad blanked the Marquette U18 team 2-0 at the Colosseum last night. Tommy Randell and Reid Pietila scored for Team CC, and Ian Carroll stopped 24 shots in goal.

The Detroit Pistons host the Brooklyn Nets in preseason NBA play tonight.

MLB
The Chicago Cubs blanked the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-0 in last night’s National League Wildcard Play-In game. The Cubs will face the Cardinals in the Divisional round.

The American League Divisional Series open today. Texas plays at Toronto this afternoon, and Houston plays at Kansas City tonight.
