Javier Báez scored the game-winner in the sixth, when Harold Castro reached first base on an error.

The Tigers host the Twins again today. Joey Wentz will start against Simeon Woods Richardson. Because of Lions football, there will be no Tigers broadcast.

All indications are that Miguel Cabrera will return for a final season with the Tigers next summer. Cabrera has one year worth $32 million remaining on his contract. Cabrera had said a few weeks ago that he intended to return. Yesterday, Tigers’ officials confirmed that they expect him back.

However, since the Phillies own the tiebreaker against the Brewers, Milwaukee is functionally two games back, with four games remaining in the regular season.
