MLB
The Detroit Tigers rallied for three runs in the eighth inning, and edged the Chicago White Sox 5-4 last night. Leonys Martin singled home José Iglesias to start the comeback off former Detroit reliever Bruce Rondón. Martin scored on a double by Nicholas Castellanos, and Castellanos came home on a single by Jeimer Candelario. Mike Fiers pitched into the sixth, and gave up all four Chicago runs. Buck Farmer got the win in relief, and Shane Greene earned his 12th save.

The Tigers will host the White Sox again this afternoon. Francisco Liriano will start against Hector Santiago. Pregame coverage will begin at 3:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

Candelario was activated from the disabled list before the game. Outfielder Mikie Mahtook was sent down to Toledo to make room on the roster.

Travis Shaw drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the 10th inning, as the Milwaukee Brewers shaded the New York Mets 4-3 last night. Shaw also had three hits, including a home run. The dramatic ending came after New York had tied the game with a run off closer Corey Knebel in the ninth. Junior Guerra turned in a quality start, allowing two runs over six innings. Jeremy Jeffress got the win in relief.

The Brewers continue that home set against the Mets today. Chase Anderson will pitch against Jason Vargas.

Milwaukee has a new back-up catcher. The Crew acquired veteran Erik Kratz from the New York Yankees. They’ll provide a player to be named or cash considerations in exchange. Catcher Jett Bandy was designated for assignment. Milwaukee has also sent struggling shortstop Orlando Arcia down to Colorado Springs. Eric Sogard has been called up. And, the Brewers called up pitcher Adrian Houser from the Sky Sox. He’ll replace Jorge López, who has been sent down.

NBA
In the NBA playoffs last night, Cleveland defeated Boston 109-99. The Eastern Conference final is tied 3-3, and will be decided tomorrow night in Boston. Houston plays at Golden State tonight. The Rockets lead the Western Conference final 3-2.

Finlandia
