MLB
The Colorado Rockies scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, and defeated the Detroit Tigers 7-3 last night. The outburst came just after Detroit had tied the game on Mikie Mahtook’s two-run homer in the top of the inning. Detroit starter Michael Fulmer was charged with five runs over six-and-a-third innings, and took the loss.

The Tigers conclude that interleague series in Denver this afternoon. Justin Verlander will start against Chad Bettis. Pregame coverage will start at 2:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Saint Louis Cardinals rocked the Milwaukee Brewers 10-2 last night. Milwaukee starter Matt Garza didn’t make it through the fourth inning. He walked five batters, and was charged with six runs. Eric Thames homered for Milwaukee.

The Brewers wrap up that quick series against the Cardinals this afternoon. Chase Anderson will pitch against Carlos Martinez.

The Cubs won, and now lead Milwaukee by three-and-a-half games in the National League Central Division. The Cardinals are five games back.

The fee includes 18 holes of golf and lunch, with a shotgun start at 11:00. All proceeds will benefit the Finlandia University men’s and women’s hockey programs.
