The Portage Lake Pioneers cruised past the Top Shelf team from Chicago 8-4 Saturday.

The Red Wings earned a standings point, but fell 3-2 to the Panthers in a shootout Saturday afternoon. Robby Fabbri and Dylan Larkin scored for Detroit. Alex Lyon made 36 saves. Carson Kelly drove home Mark Canha with the tying run in the seventh inning, and the winning run in the top of the 10th inning, as the Tigers shaded the White Sox 7-6 Saturday. Detroit fell behind early, as Chicago scored six runs off Kenta Maeda before chasing him in the fourth inning.
