The Angels’ winning blow was a three-run Logan O’Hoppe homer off Shelby Miller in the eighth.

With the exception of Sunday’s 11-2 win over the White Sox, Detroit has scored 15 runs in their last 11 games.

The Tigers visit the Angels again tonight. Reese Olson will start against Griffin Canning. Coverage will begin at 9:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

Jackson Chourio’s fourth-inning grand slam was all the Brewers needed to beat the Cubs 4-2. The big blow came just after Chicago had scored two off Colin Raye in the top of the inning. Rae pitched into the sixth, and struck out eight.

The Brewers host the Cubs again this afternoon. Tobias Myers will pitch against Justin Steele.

The Sharks used the top pick to take Boston College center Macklin Celebrini. The Blackhawks took Michigan State defenseman Artyom Levshunov with the second.
