Howard

NHL
The Detroit Red Wings’ playoff hopes will come down to their final game, following last night’s 5-2 loss to the Boston Bruins. Boston took a quick lead with two goals in their first four shots against Jimmy Howard. Howard gave up all five goals before being replaced by Petr Mrazek early in the third period. Detroit would have clinched the third guaranteed Atlantic Division playoff spot with the win. They can still earn that spot with a victory either in regulation or overtime in their final regular-season game tomorrow afternoon at New York against the Rangers. Face-off is at 12:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY. If Detroit loses or wins in a shootout, they would still clinch if the Bruins either lose to Senators in their final game, or win in a shootout. If they lose their final game, the Wings could also back into the final Eastern Conference wild card playoff spot if the Philadelphia Flyers earn no more than one standings point in their final two games.

NBA
The Detroit Pistons could clinch a playoff berth with a home victory against the Wizards tonight. Tip-off is at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

The Fighting Hawks eliminated Denver 4-2. The title game will be played tomorrow night. Our coverage will begin at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

NFL
The 2016 NFL preseason schedule has been released. The Detroit Lions will open at Pittsburgh, host the Bengals, travel to Baltimore, and close at home against the Bills.
