MLB – Tigers and Brewers Win
Miguel Cabrera homered twice, as the Detroit Tigers outslugged the Minnesota Twins 10-7 yesterday. The power surge rescued starter Shane Greene, who was charged with seven Minnesota runs before leaving in the fifth inning. Detroit made up a four-run deficit in the top of the sixth, powered by homers from Cabrera, J.D. Martinez, and an inside-the-park shot by James McCann – his first homer in the majors. Andrew Romine singled in the game-winner in the eighth inning, and Cabrera added two insurance runs with his second homer of the night in the ninth. Tom Gorzelanny got the win in relief.

The Tigers open a series at Kansas City tonight. Alfredo Simon will start against Danny Duffy. Hear the first pitch at 8:10 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.
