NHL

Alex DeBrincat’s overtime goal gave the Red Wings a 3-2 victory over the Canucks last night. DeBrincat’s second tally of the game came with 42 seconds left in the extra period. Ben Chiarot scored Detroit’s other goal. Alex Lyon made 25 saves.

The Wings have won six straight, and visit the Kracken tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 9:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

Detroit defenseman Jeff Petry will apparently miss much of the rest of the regular season. Petry recently underwent surgery to deal with an injury that has already sidelined him for a month. Recovery time is estimated at six to eight weeks.

Detroit has also put forward J.T. Compher on injured reserve. There’s no word as to how much time he will miss.

NBA

The Pistons outscored the Bulls 127-119 yesterday. Cade Cunningham had 22 points and 15 assists. Jalen Duren scored 19 points and snared 13 rebounds.

The Pistons host the Hawks tonight. Coverage will begin at 6:35 on 99.3 The Lift.

MLB

Pitcher Jack Flaherty is back with the Tigers. The top remaining free agent starter on the market reportedly has agreed to a two-year, $35 million deal.
