College Soccer

The Finlandia University men’s soccer match at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago yesterday was canceled. No reason was provided.

College Basketball

Both Northern Michigan University basketball teams will host Bay College for exhibition games tonight.

NHL

The Detroit Red Wings spotted the Washington Capitals a two-goal lead, then came from behind to claim a 3-2 overtime victory last night. Dylan Larkin’s goal 97 seconds into the extra stanza was the game-winner. Adam Erne and Robby Fabbri also scored for Detroit. Thomas Greiss made 26 saves.

The Wings host the Florida Panthers tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

NBA

The Detroit Pistons visit the Philadelphia 76ers tonight.

MLB

The Houston Astros downed the Atlanta Braves 7-2 last night, to even the World Series at a win per team. Game three will be played in Atlanta tomorrow night.

Milwaukee Brewers General Manager Matt Arnold will stay with the team. Arnold was considered a leading candidate to become the New York Mets’ new president of baseball operations, but reports say that he has withdrawn from consideration, and will sign a contract extension with the Crew. Milwaukee baseball president David Stearns had earlier drawn interest from the Mets, but Brewers ownership denied New York permission to talk with him.

NFL

In tonight’s NFL contest, the Green Bay Packers visit the Arizona Cardinals. Hear the broadcast on 99.3 The Lift.
