He’s considered day-to-day. Center fielder Tyler Collins was thrown out of the game for arguing with the home plate umpire in the eighth inning.

The Milwaukee Brewers had yesterday off, and will play a day-night doubleheader at Chicago against the Cubs today. The afternoon game makes up a rainout from April 27th. Matt Garza will pitch against Trevor Cahill. In the evening game, Chase Anderson will start against Jason Hammel.

Quarless
Quarless

NFL
The Detroit Lions have signed former Green Bay tight end Andrew Quarless. Quarless played six seasons with the Packers, though he missed almost all of last season because of injury. If he makes the team, he will miss the first two games of the regular season because of a suspension for firing a handgun into the air during an early-morning argument in Miami. The signing goes against statements general manager Bob Quinn and team owner Martha Firestone Ford made when Quinn was hired that they would maintain a zero-tolerance policy for domestic violence and firearm violations. Both of Detroit’s top two tight ends are injured.

Youth Sports
The Houghton School District will offer a Back 2 School Sports Camp next week. The camp is open to boys and girls entering the first through sixth grades. The cost is $20.00. Students in first, second and third grades will meet from noon to 1:15 Monday through Friday. Students in fourth through sixth grades will meet from 1:30 to 2:45.
