High School
In high school basketball last night…
– The Ewen-Trout Creek boys defeated Drummond 35-25.
– The Ontonagon girls downed Wakefield-Marenisco 59-37.

Calumet will host Marquette in high school hockey tonight, in a game that was snowed out on December 5th, and again on December 12th. Our pregame coverage will begin around 6:40 on KBear 102.3 and KBear102.com.

GLHL
The Calumet Wolverines skated past the Portage Lake Pioneers 8-3 last night at the Colosseum. Logan Rastello and Ed Beiring each had hat tricks for the Wolverines, who improve to 6-0 this season. Those teams play again tonight at 7:30 at Dee Stadium.

NHL
The Detroit Red Wings visit the Boston Bruins this afternoon. Coverage begins at 12:40 on 99.3 The Lift.

The Wings will skate without Luke Glendening for at least a month. Glendening suffered what the team has only described as an “upper body” injury in Wednesday’s loss to the Flyers. His right hand was bandaged after the game, and he may have been hurt while blocking a shot. Tyler Bertuzzi has been called up from Grand Rapids to fill in.

NBA
The Detroit Pistons scored the final seven points of the game, and edged the New York Knicks 104-101 last night. Reggie Bullock blocked a shot with 16 seconds remaining, and Anthony Tolliver sank two late free throws to seal the win. Tobias Harris led Detroit with 24 points. Andre Drummond finished with 18 points and 15 rebounds, despite missing part of the first half because of early fouls. The Pistons host the Indiana Pacers Tuesday night. Tip-off is at 7:00 on 99.3 The Lift.

NFL
The Green Bay Packers host the Minnesota Vikings this evening at 8:30. Hear the broadcast on 99.3 The Lift. The Detroit Lions visit the Cincinnati Bengals for a 1:00 game Sunday on 99.3 The Lift. The Lions need to win both their remaining games, and get losses from key competitors, to reach the playoffs.

Police were called to Lambeau Field early yesterday afternoon, after a man with a gun drove his car into a loading dock, and crashed it into a wall. The man is said to be a 20-year-old who had recently been fired by one of the stadium’s food service vendors. He was arrested without incident, and officials do not believe there is any wider threat to public safety.
