The Detroit Tigers collected just three hits in a 7-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners last night. Detroit starter Mike Fiers struggled, giving up three runs over the first five innings. He left the game after walking the leadoff better in the sixth. Artie Lewicki relieved him, and stayed in the game as Seattle scored four times to put the game away. Victor Martinez homered for Detroit.

The Tigers conclude that series at Seattle this afternoon. Francisco Liriano will start against Wade LeBlanc. Pregame coverage will begin at 3:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

Christian Yelich’s home run in the eighth inning lifted the Milwaukee Brewers to a 5-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins yesterday. The magic from Freddy Peralta’s first major league start didn’t carry over to his second – he gave up four runs over four innings. Milwaukee tied the game in the top of the fifth, relievers Dan Jennings, Jeremy Jeffress and Josh Hader combined to throw five scoreless innings.

The Brewers wrap up that interleague set at Minnesota this afternoon. Junior Guerra will pitch against Jake Odorizzi.

NHL
In the NHL playoffs last night, Tampa Bay defeated Washington 3-2. The Lightning lead the Eastern Conference final 3-2. Las Vegas skates at Winnipeg this afternoon. The Golden Knights lead the Western Conference final 3-1.

NBA
In the NBA playoffs, Cleveland downed Boston 116-86. The Celtics lead the Eastern Conference final 2-1. Houston plays at Golden State tonight. The Western Conference final is tied 1-1.
